This customer bathroom shows what a single strong colour can do. Walls in our Emerald Green bejmat tiles, fittings in brass, and very little else: the room feels rich, calm and complete.
The deep green glaze carries real depth. Because every bejmat tile is glazed by hand, the tone shifts slightly from tile to tile, and the glossy surface reflects light in a way that keeps the walls alive rather than heavy. Brass hardware warms the scheme and picks up the glints in the glaze.
Bejmat in bathrooms
The slim rectangular format suits shower enclosures and full-height walls, and the fired clay body handles moisture with ease. Grouted tightly, with the small irregular joints that handmade tiles produce, the finish feels crafted rather than fitted. If you are choosing between formats for a bathroom, our guide to zellige and bejmat tiles will help.
