Emerald Green zellige tiles on a feature wall at Mc'Arthur House

Mc'Arthur House: Emerald Green Zellige Tiles

In the Mc'Arthur House project, our Emerald Green zellige tiles take centre stage. The deep, jewel-toned glaze gives the interior a rich, enveloping quality that flat factory tiles simply cannot reproduce.

The finish is where zellige earns its reputation. Each tile is glazed by hand, so the surface gloss varies subtly from piece to piece. As daylight moves through the room, the wall shifts between shadow and shine, and the colour reads differently from morning to evening. The natural pits and undulations in the clay add texture that suits both modern and period homes.

Using strong colour with confidence

A saturated green wall works best when the rest of the palette stays quiet. In this home the tiles sit alongside warm neutrals and natural timber, letting the emerald surface do the talking. The same tile works as a kitchen splashback, a bathroom wall or a smaller accent panel; because orders start from 1 m², a compact feature area is easy to achieve.
